Unlike many Austin locals, I actually love the energy (and even chaos) that Southby brings to our little city. The whole city transforms with so many companies bringing new and innovative ideas to market their brands around the city. After getting many questions on what to wear in and around Southby (my first answer is “really, wear whatever the hell you want”) I decided to draft up some ideas to get your creative fashion-forward juices flowing. This is the first of a quick three part series, each with one of the three main sections of the festival as the theme. You don’t have to dress any different of course at any of these, but they do tend to inspire a slightly different vibe depending on what events you’re attending. This look is “Interactive” inspired, which is the “tech-centric” portion of the festival. I wanted to do a play on a business look, making it more “night-out” ready, by adding a sultry bodysuit and a bag with lots of color. I also added the hat as optional for a weekend-day-time, or more casual, event. Stay tuned for more SXSW-inspired looks coming your way this week! All Photography – Carlos Barron Photography
