90s Feels

Ok So I Guess I do Love the 90s….

Ok, so when the 90s started coming back, I have to admit I was NOT a fan. I mean honestly when I think of 90s fashion I think if the decade fashion went to die. BUT, I have to admit, I think I have to eat my words on this one. All of the trends coming back are reminding me of all of the things I did love about the 90s, like these in your face leather pants by LPA. There was a bit of “I-don’t-give-a-f***-ness” about the 90s that really resonates with my love for in your face fashion.

My love for the 90s though, was mostly reinvigorated by a recent 40th birthday of a close friend who hosted a 90s/80s theme party.  The choosing of two decades at first made my a little confused, but it ended up inspiring everyone to get more creative than your typical neon workout clothes style party (some people chose this and they looked GREAT, but it was fun to see more variation in attire) and choose something more nostalgic. I oscillated between Night at the Roxbury, Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion, the ever-popular Clueless, and was nearly swayed by Buffy the Vampire Slayer (part of the inspiration for these pants and my favorite TV series of all time), but finally landed on Vivian Ward from Pretty Woman (I already had the blonde wig and frequently get told I look like Julia Roberts… probably reaching but I’ll TAKE IT). I included a photo of us from the event below (which also happened to be at our wedding venue!) An overall pleasantly nostalgic evening to say the least…<3
